By plane
The Vienna International Airport (VIE) issituated about 30 minutes from Downtown Vienna. For transfer, we suggest the Schnellbahn S7 (4,80 EUR, linked webpage in german). A second option is the somewhat faster City Airport Train (CAT) (14,90 EUR). Both trains stop at station Landstraße/Wien Mitte with connections to the subway (U4, U3) and several tram and bus lines.
By train
Most trains coming from the neighbouring countries will arrive at Hauptbahnhof. The station is connected to the underground (Line U1) and to several tram lines.
In general public transport in Vienna is very well developped. More information and online underground and tram schedules can be found at the pages of the Wiener Linien.
By car
Since most of Vienna is a short-term parking zone (9 am to 10 pm), we cannot recommend arrival by car. However, expensive car-parks are available.
Hotels
We are currently corresponding with several hotels to find good rebates for you. As soon as we have some information, it will be posted here.
Conference setting
The conference will be held in the so-called “Gußhaus” of the TU Wien at Gußhausstraße 27-29 (1040 Vienna) in the “Kontaktraum”. Detailed local maps can be found at the Uni-Wegweiser. The nearest underground station is called “Karlsplatz” and is serviced by the U1, U2 and U4 underground lines. If you are on the U1, station Taubstummengasse is a little bit closer.
